Octopus Dogs

Ingredients:

  • Hot Dogs
  • Buns
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup

Instructions:

  1. Before roasting your hot dogs over the fire, use a knife to cut each one in half, leaving at least a quarter of it uncut on one end.
  2. Turn the dog and cut in half again, leaving a fourth uncut as before.
  3. Repeat twice more so that there are eight “legs”
  4. Roast the octopus dogs over the fire until warm, turning frequently to avoid burning.
  5. Add tiny dots of ketchup or mustard for eyes and serve!

Pigs in a Blanket

Ingredients:

  • 1 tube of crescent roll dough
  • 1 package of hot dogs
  • Bamboo skewers
  • Olive oil
  • Aluminum foil
  • Hot dog toppings

Instructions:

  1. Start by soaking your bamboo skewers for at least 30 minutes before you start cooking.
  2. Cut the crescent dough into long strips.
  3. Skewer each hotdog lengthwise and wrap in the strips of dough. This works best if you secure it to the skewer by wrapping it over on itself. Secure the dough on itself at the top, too.
  4. Brush lightly in olive oil and cover in aluminum foil.
  5. Cook on the grill until the dough is cooked through and golden brown – 5 to 6 minutes, turning frequently.
  6. Serve with your favorite toppings.
